What are the effects of the horse drinking trough?

The drinking trough accelerates the production of cavalry units and lowers their crop consumption.

The horse drinking trough in detail:

  • Can only be built by romans.
  • Accelerates the production time of cavalry units by 1% per level.
  • The horse drinking trough lowers the crop consumption of all roman cavalry units in that village.
  • Equites Legati consume one crop less at level 10.
  • Equites Imperatoris consume one crop less at level 15.
  • Equites Caesaris consume one crop less at level 20.
  • The maximal level is 20.

Prerequisites for the horse drinking trough:

  • Stable level 20.
  • Rally point level 10.

  • Level 1: 780 Wood, 420 Clay, 660 Iron, 540 Crop ? Construction time: 0:36:40 hours
  • Level 20: 84935 Wood, 45735 Clay, 71870 Iron, 58800 Crop ? Construction time: 26:41:10 hours

Summaries Characteristics :

  • Per level the training time of cavalry is decreased by 1%.
  • The Horse watering Place decreases upkeep of all Roman cavalry in the village.
  • Starting with level 10: Equites Legati upkeep is reduced by 1 unit
  • Starting with level 15: Equites Imperatoris upkeep is reduced by 1 unit
  • Starting with level 20: Equites Caesaris upkeep is reduced by 1 unit
  • This building can only be constructed by Romans
  • Maximum level 20

Hint :

In some older server version, Horse Drinking Trough (short: HDT) might not effect transparantly in your stable production unit cunsumption, but it does works in reducing the consumption of your cavalry units (as told at above summary). To cross check the real consumtion, you can look at your rally point and calculate manually your cavalery consumption, it should be decreasing now. If not, you better contact the MH at your server to inform that bug.
