Travian Guide: Gauls Beginner Guide

At this time, I will describe the type of Gauls to survive in the battlefield at the beginning of the game, 1-30days (for normal server) or 1-10 days (for speed server), with gold / non-gold.

There are 3 tribe in travian: Romans, Gauls and Teutons..

At this time, I will describe the type of Gauls to survive in the battlefield at the beginning of the game, 1-30days (for normal server) or 1-10 days (for speed server), with gold / non-gold.

So let’s start with the non-gold Gauls user should do at the beginning of the game.

1. Trapper + cranny master Gauls

At this type, you (Gauls) should follow the Questmaster to get all resources up to level 2 or up, also the trapper must reach at least level 4, in order to capture 49 units of enemy’s troops for 2-10 days from beginning of game, and level 10 of trapper for you until 150days, then its very useful when you can reach level 20 if u want.
Don’t forget also to repair your trapper slot when its broken/damage.
Build cranny also, minimum to reach level 5, maximum is 2 cranny, each at level 10 until 150 days..

Pros..
If someone attack you with 20 units.. and they got trapped.. and then he attack you again, when the troops almost arrive at your village, release his previous trapped units immediately, so you can trap his incoming army again without breaking your traps. If he continue his attack that way, he is losing his time to rescue his army again and again. Don’t forget to use all of your resources in range of your cranny capacity below 2/3 because teutons is very aggressive for that (has the ability to steal till 1/3 of cranny capacity).

Cons..
You need to be at least 12-20 online hours per day to protect your villages. Find a sitter to help you protect your villages and to cover the requested online hours.
Your resources will be less helpful, because no gold to get 25% production, also you will need to make sure you have resources in a lower of 2/3 cranny(1 of the most important) and try to exchange in market of what u got a lot in resources..

2. Phalanx + cranny master Gauls (Aggressive)

You don’t need to follow the Questmaster trip.
At this type, upgrade your main building to level 3, crop field, rally point,  barrack, and make some phalanxes and be ready to raid, and dodge all attack from the opponents until you got more than 100+ phalanxes to protect (but this number its relatively). Also, build your resource field and make more phalanxes, so you will become the scaries one.
For the cranny, build like described in trapper+cranny master Gauls.

Another type of Phalanx+cranny master Gauls (Passive)
If you follow the Questmaster, then you should be a defender (passive Gauls) rather than an aggressive Gauls.
Because your resource field already fill with level 2+ and your production is good enough, you can always send your troops to your friend village to keep your troops alive for any incoming attack, and don’t forget to build cranny to protect your resource from any steal/thief attempt.

Pros..
Aggressive will be expand more than passive one.
Passive will be more secure than aggressive one.

Cons..
Aggressive need to get more online than passive.
Passive need a friend to be his team mate to save the troops.
Aggressive will lost his troops if you raid carelessly, and its still less than teutons as a master raider.
Passive will be so lame in resource field than successful aggressive one.

3. Simcity Gauls

Maybe, the is the most common type for very passive and little/rare online hours players.
Why ?
Because its only build… build… and build.. Like another game called sim city.

This type always build resources field & cranny. Stop only and if only you think its enough to stop playing simcity and try to getting more serious like wars.

Pros..
Your resources field will be big ? Really if you hide it in granary combine with your big cranny ? a lot of level 10..
You will be a very good farmer after you changed your mind and riset TT before 2 months..

Cons..
It will be useless in the game after 2 months for normal server and 20 days for speed..
Because they got catapults man!!
Not all, but some of them will have it..
